| About Us: Home Page Nancy Smith: Nancy Smith started White Doves of Modesto back in the year 2000. She originally wanted to use white doves for show during concerts for her husband's band. However, as she integrated into the world of the Rock Dove, she was fascinated by their beauty and abilities. After research and consideration, she decided to become one of the few pioneers in the dove industry. Nancy decided to raise and train these doves for the enjoyment of others. After being introduced into the industry, she quickly realized how much more she could do with these doves to help people. Her popularity spread so much that she became known as "The Dove Lady" in Modesto and the surrounding California Central Valley area. Nancy now lives with her husband, daughter, and mother in Nashville, Tennessee. She has left her business to her daughter-in-law, Megan Smith. Nancy personally trained Megan over the course of four years. Nancy is starting a new dove business in Nashville. Thank you Nancy for all the years of beautiful dove releases, and all the love you gave to the community. Megan Smith: Megan Smith came to California four years ago for college. Originally from Minnesota, she found California to be a drastic change. She met Nancy's son, Adam, through a mutual friend at school. While dating Adam, Megan started working for Nancy. After two years, Adam and Megan were married. Megan continued to work for Nancy up until her in-laws moved to Nashville. "It is a great honor, to be intrusted with this business. My goals are to uphold the good name of White Doves of Modesto and to keep the doves my top priority. I enjoy this job more than any other I have had over the years. It truly helps people, which brings me joy. Also, the doves are so amazing. I love everyone of them as if they were my own children. I look forward to helping everyone who calls in for a service. Thank you to all the people who have welcomed me. I am blessed to know so many wonderful funeral directors, grounds-workers, coordinators, event planners, and families. Thank you to my family and friends for your support. Thank you to my workers who help make this business run. Thank you Adam for always believing in me. Thank you so much Mom (Nancy) for all you have done." -Megan Smith |
